Course versioning gives you the power to control when learners see updates to live courses. With versioning the learner only sees changes made when the course is republished.

Content creators can write descriptions in the new versions to keep track of changes made. 

Changes to publishing the course 

There's a new field called 'Capture this version' allowing the admin to name the new version upon republish. 

All versions are captured in the change log 

An audit trail is captured in the change log making it easy to track the changes made at a glance. 

Changes to the analytics in CCBU

You can easily see which versions of the course learners have completed and which course version has been published, making it easy to spot when learners may need to re-take an updated course. 

The 'Completed Version' and 'Published Version' are found in the additional filters (in the eye section).
